Volunteer with Rank MI Vote!
Ranked Choice Voting is gaining momentum across Michigan, and there’s never been a better time to get involved.
Ranked Choice Voting gives every voter a stronger voice, reduces negative campaigning, and ensures our winners reflect the true will of the people.
But change doesn’t happen on its own. It takes passionate advocates like you showing up across the state.
Whether you have an hour a week or a whole weekend to spare, there’s a place for your energy, skills, and enthusiasm in our growing volunteer community. Join thousands of Michiganders who believe our democracy deserves better — and are doing something about it.

Here’s how you can help move RCV forward:
- Canvassing & tabling — Set up tables and canvass the crowds at community events to introduce neighbors to RCV one conversation at a time.
- Phone & text banking — Reach out to fellow Rank MI Vote volunteers across Michigan to coordinate attendance at upcoming events, rallies, and actions, making sure our people show up where it counts.
- Event organizing — Connect us with local bars, breweries, restaurants, and shops to host fun “Rank My Beer,” “Rank My Wine,” and “Rank My Ice Cream” tasting events that introduce RCV to new audiences in an approachable, memorable way.
- Social media & digital outreach — Amplify our message online, create shareable content, and help grow our statewide digital presence.
- Presenting to community groups — Speak to civic organizations, neighborhood associations, schools, and faith communities about the benefits of RCV.
- Coalition building — Help forge partnerships with aligned organizations and community leaders to broaden our movement.
- Administrative & behind-the-scenes support — Keep the operation running strong with data entry, volunteer coordination, research, and office support.
- Writing & communications — Contribute op-eds, newsletters, press outreach, or website content to sharpen and spread our message.
- Local government advocacy — Attend city council meetings, testify at public hearings, and advocate for RCV adoption in your municipality.
No matter your background or schedule, your contribution brings Michigan one step closer to elections that work for everyone.
