When voters feel like they must choose between voting their conscience and voting for a viable candidate, our elections are broken. Poor Representation
Our system allows candidates to win with less than 50% of votes. Primary winners can win primaries with only 30% support and then win general elections. In 2016 and 2024, Michigan’s presidential election went to a winner with less than 50% of the vote as did our 2024 senatorial election. We deserve winners supported by over half of voters.

The existing system incentivizes mudslinging, outrageous lies, and fear-mongering. This divisiveness brews hate and causes further voter disengagement.
