Canvassing Resources
Do you want to talk to people about RCV, but aren’t quite sure what to say? We have more information on how to communicate about RCV.
- Elevator Pitch – Need a short script to learn how to best talk about ranked choice voting? Print this out and give it a try with a friend!
- Guidelines for Talking about RCV – More information about what resonates with people and the best ways to connect and persuade people to join Rank MI Vote’s grassroots movement.
- ACLU-MI Petitioning Guide – Learn where you can and cannot stand when you’re talking with the general public about Rank MI Vote. Know your rights!

Want to help spread the word with flyers, or find new volunteers? The below resources can help!
- Supporter Sign Up Sheet – Print several copies and put them on a clipboard so that you can canvass around your neighborhood, city parks, rallies, etc. Use a black pen and follow instructions at the top of the page to have our data entry team add new supporters to our movement.

- Request a Speaker – Use this to have an RMV speaker present at a town hall, organization or house party.
- 2025 Community Events Submission – Do you know of a great event (farmers market, art fair, county fair, harvest festival, etc.) where RMV canvassers should recruit volunteers and gather signatures? Submit all the details so we can plan for it!
Rank MI Vote’s Volunteer Calendar
We have many statewide volunteer teams that meet on a recurring basis as well as 10 regional field teams and a Student Organizing team. You’re welcome to join any meetings on this calendar to check out volunteering opportunities. (See instructions below the calendar for how to join.)
You can join a meeting that is about to start (or has started) by clicking on the Join with Google Meet button in the meeting detail. You will have to click the ‘Ask to join’ and the meeting organizer can let you in. Alternatively, if you’re interested in getting an invitation to any of these meetings, you can click into the meeting details and email the person who created the meeting so they can add you to it. 🛈
